ESSENTIAL ESSENCE RETREAT

For the woman who has spent years being very good at being who she needed to be.
A few days away from the life you’ve built, with enough space to hear yourself clearly.
A 5-night / 6-day Immersion
22 – 27 October 2026
The Iconpainter Estate, Messinia, Greece
Investment € 1,485

You have built a good life.  You have a relationship, a family, a career, a home, friendships and a reputation for being capable and dependable.  You have done what needed doing, taken care of the people who matter, and you’re incredibly good at looking like you’re holding it all together.

You should be happy, right?  And yet, you’re awake at 3 am asking yourself Is this it?

So, you find yourself fantasising about leaving your marriage, quitting your job and running away from it all.
And then you don’t.  Because you realise that you don’t know what you’d actually do.

You don’t necessarily want to walk away from your life but you know that something’s gotta change

There is nothing wrong with your life.
You are just no longer willing to live it on autopilot.

You come to this retreat because you want some distance from the life you’ve better at managing than enjoying.

For six days you get to step out of your usual roles and responsibilities and notice what is left when nobody is asking you to be anything in particular.

You’ll have three other women who understand something about the territory you’re in, and someone holding the space who won’t rush you towards an answer, give you a five-step plan or turn every realisation into something you need to work on.

You might go home with …

  • a decision you couldn’t make before
  • the realisation that what you thought needed fixing isn’t actually the problem
  • a clearer sense of what you want your days to feel like
  • the knowledge that you don’t want to leave your life — you just want to live it differently
  • a question you’re willing to live with for a while, instead of rushing to solve it
  • something you’ve finally admitted to yourself, and made peace with
  • the feeling of actually living your life, rather than so effectively managing it
  • permission to disappoint someone
  • the realisation that nothing needs to change immediately

You may not leave knowing exactly what you’re going to do next.
But you may finally know what you actually think.  Or want.  Or don’t want anymore.

Something happens when another woman says thing you’ve been to ashamed to say.

You realise you aren’t the only one thinking it.

When you’re in this together, you can start believing you aren’t alone.

That’s why it’s four women and not just one.

You’ve probably already tried to figure it out.
A wellness weekend or a self-help book that made sense for about a week.
Maybe even a retreat that left you relaxed for two days and back to normal by Wednesday.

None of that is wrong.
It’s just not necessarily enough when the question isn’t
How can I feel better?
but
What is this 3am wake-up trying to tell me?

You don’t need another list of things to do, another set of answers or a better version of yourself to work towards.

You need enough distance from your ordinary life to hear what is underneath all the noise of it.

This retreat is an opportunity to step outside of your life for a few days.  Not to run away from it all.
So you can finally hear yourself clearly enough to know what is true now.

Before you Arrive

A week before the retreat, we meet online for an Arrival Call.

We will go through what you need to know, answer questions and make sure you know what to expect.

It is a chance for the five of us to meet before you arrive, so you are not walking into a room of strangers on the first evening.

We will talk a little about what has brought you here and what you are noticing in your life at the moment.

There is no need to arrive with an intention or a problem neatly packaged up.

A Small Arrival Ritual

When you arrive, I will invite you to put your phone into a small wooden box.

It is not a digital detox.  Your phone remains available if you need it, and people at home can contact you.

It is simply a physical marker that you have arrived and that, for a few days, you don’t have to be immediately reachable.

You might notice how often you instinctively reach for it.  You might discover that you don’t miss it at all.  You might put it back in your pocket ten minutes later.

There are no rules around this.

I am more interested in what you notice than whether you manage to spend five days without looking at a screen.

What Happens on Retreat

You will stay in your own house, with your own bathroom, sitting room, double bedroom and a patio with a sea view.   There are a few things we will do together, but the retreat is intentionally spacious.

Mornings.
We begin the day outdoors with simple practices that bring attention into the body.  This might include breathwork, meditation, gentle somatic movement or another practice that suits the group.

The middle of the day.
This is largely yours to swim, walk, read or sleep. You can swing in the hammock, sit on your patio or walk to the beach.   You can write or meditate or make yourself a coffee and stare into space. Maybe you want a private coaching session or a kahuna massage.   You can be productive if that is genuinely what you want.  You can also discover that doing nothing is harder than you expected.

Our conversations.
There will be facilitated inquiry circles during the retreat.   These are not workshops, and you will not be expected to tell your life story or contribute something profound.  Sometimes we will talk.  Sometimes we will sit with a question.  Sometimes what is useful is simply hearing another woman recognise something you thought was yours alone.
You can participate as much or as little as feels right.

Evenings.
Some meals will be shared and some evenings you’ll be eating alone.  There is no expectation that the group becomes your social life for the week.  You are here to have time with yourself.  The rhythm is between solitude and connection, with neither one taking over.

After you Return

A week or so after you return home, we meet again for an Integration Call.
By then, ordinary life will have started again.
There will be emails, work, family, conversations, shopping, appointments and all the things that were temporarily held at a distance.
That is where the interesting part begins.

What did you notice about yourself while you were away?
What feels different?
What feels exactly the same?

Perhaps something has become clearer.
Perhaps a question has become more important.
Perhaps you simply noticed how much effort goes into maintaining parts of your life that you had stopped questioning.

The call is a chance to look at what you have brought home and consider what, if anything, you want to do with it in the life you returned to.

You don’t have to burn the house down just because you’ve noticed you’re uncomfortable in it.

The Iconpainter Estate is built on the site of the original Charakopio village icon painter.  There are four self-contained houses set among the olive trees, normally rented for summer holidays.

Off the beaten track, it is private and quiet.  From every house, you can see the Messinian Bay and the Taygetos Mountains.  There is enough space to be alone and enough shared space when you want company.

Each woman has her own house, with a kitchen, sitting room, bathroom and private terrace.  The pool, gardens and surrounding landscape are shared.

You can walk down through the olive grove, sit by the pool, walk to the beach or simply stay where you are.

There is very little here that requires your attention.  And when your surroundings ask very little of you, it becomes a little easier to notice yourself.

You don’t have to know what you want. You just have to be willing to find out.

This retreat is for the woman who has spent years being capable, responsible and very good at holding things together, and has started wondering what happens when she stops for long enough to hear herself.

You don’t need a five-year plan. You don’t need a crisis. You don’t need to know whether your marriage needs to change, whether you should leave your job or what the next chapter looks like.

You might simply know that something isn’t quite right anymore.

You might be tired of being the person who automatically says yes, keeps everyone happy and carries on.

You might have done plenty of personal development already and understand your patterns perfectly well, but still find yourself waking at 3am with the same questions.

What you need is not another answer handed to you. It’s some time, some space and some company while you listen for your own.

You don’t need to be ready to leave your marriage, quit your job or have an Eat, Pray, Love moment.

It probably isn’t for you if you’re looking for a packed programme, lots of activities, a wellness holiday or someone to tell you what you should do next.

Hi, I’m Staci.

I have spent the past 10 years sitting with women who’ve built a life that looks great from every angle and they are still asking some version of “Is this it?”.

And I have asked it myself, more than once.  My own path has taken me through coaching, bodywork, meditation, the Enneagram and a lot of experience of being a human being who does not always have the answers.

I am a Master Coach trained with InnerLifeSkills and an Enneagram trainer.  And I also work alot with the body, because I know that we can’t always think our way into knowing ourselves.

My approach is less about giving you a method to follow and more about creating the conditions for you to notice what is already true. Along the way, I’ll share ways to connect with and listen to your own innate wisdom.

I will guide the parts of the retreat that need guiding.
I will also ask questions.
I will notice what is happening.
And I will leave plenty of room for you to discover what truly belongs to you.

I live here at The Iconpainter, so this retreat isn’t something I’ve brought into a rented venue for a week. While it is the first time I’m sharing this work in this particular group container, the way I work has been shaped by hundreds of sessions with women. I know how to stay with someone when the answer isn’t obvious, and I don’t need to rush you towards one.

Your Questions Answered

How do I know if I'm ready for this?

If you’re asking that question, you’re probably closer than you think.
Ready doesn’t mean fearless or certain. It means something in you has been asking for a pause, and you’ve run out of reasons to keep postponing it.
If the description of this retreat made you feel something — relief, recognition, a quiet yes — that’s worth listening to.
If you’re still unsure, reach out. A short conversation will tell us both what we need to know.

What if I'm not good at being alone?

Most women who come here would say the same thing before they arrive.
Being alone — really alone, without a screen or a schedule or someone needing something — is a skill most of us have quietly lost.
The first hours can feel unfamiliar. Restless. Even a little uncomfortable. That discomfort is not a sign you’ve made a mistake. It’s the noise beginning to clear. It usually passes within the first day.
What follows is what you came for.

Is this a spiritual retreat?

That depends on what you mean by spiritual.
There is no religion here, no doctrine, no particular belief system required or offered.
What there is: stillness, presence, and an invitation to meet yourself more honestly than daily life usually allows.
Some women find that deeply spiritual. Others find it simply grounding.
Both are welcome.

How is this different from a yoga retreat or a wellness weekend?

Most wellness weekends give you a full programme — classes, workshops, group meals, a schedule from morning to night. You come home having done a lot.
This is the opposite. The structure here is minimal by design.
Two gentle sessions bookend each day. Everything else is unstructured, unhurried, yours.
There is no content to consume, no curriculum to complete.
The retreat isn’t something that happens to you.
It’s something that happens when everything else stops.

What if I arrive and I'm too switched-on to slow down?

You probably will be, at first.
Most women arrive still moving at the pace of their lives — checking the phone reflexively, scanning for what needs to be done next, waiting for the schedule to tell them where to be. That’s normal.
It’s not a problem and it doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
The pace of this place is patient. It doesn’t rush you. Within the first day, sometimes sooner, something usually shifts.
The body remembers what still feels like before the mind does.

Will I have to share or open up in a group?

No. There are no sharing circles, no group processing, no expectation that you will speak about what you’re experiencing.
Their are four women (maximum) being alone, together.
If you want to talk, there is space for that. If you want to move through the days in near-silence, that is equally honoured.
Nothing is required of you except your presence.

I'm travelling alone from outside Greece — how does arrival work?

The nearest airports are Kalamata, which is the closest, and Athens, which has more international connections.
Private taxi transfers can be arranged from either airport directly to the estate — details and pricing will be provided by request.
The estate is in Charakopio, Messinia, in the south-eastern Peloponnese — genuinely beautiful to arrive into, especially if you give yourself the drive rather than rushing it.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Please share these at the time of booking, including the severity of any allergies.
All meals are prepared with locally sourced ingredients and delivered to your room — there are no communal meals on the 3-night retreat, so your food is entirely your own.
Once I know what you need, I’ll confirm how it will be catered for before you arrive so there are no unknowns.

Can I stay in touch with family while I'm there?

Yes — and this is important to know before you arrive.
On arrival you’ll be invited to place your phone in a box. Not a rule, an invitation — you can take it out at any point, and I’d ask only that when you do, it’s a conscious choice rather than a reflex.
You will have my number to pass on to anyone who needs to reach you in an emergency. You are not unreachable. You are simply, for a few days, not available by default.
Most women find that within 24 hours, the pull toward the phone is much quieter than they expected.

What should I bring — and what should I leave at home?

Bring loose, comfortable clothing for movement.
Layers for the evenings — late August in Messinia is warm but the nights are gentle.
Good walking shoes if you’d like to explore the olive groves or walk to the beach.
Sunscreen, a hat, your own toiletries.
A journal if you want one.
Everything else is here.

Leave behind your to-do list, your inbox, and the version of yourself that has to show up, perform or have something useful to report. None of that is needed here.

What will I actually leave with?

Honestly — it’s different for every woman, and I’d rather not promise you an outcome.
What I can say is this: most women leave having —

  • slept more deeply than they have in months.
  • remembered what it feels like to exist without being needed.

And having had at least one moment of genuine quiet — not the absence of noise, but the presence of something underneath it.
Whether that becomes a turning point or simply a pause that was needed, only you will know. But it tends to matter more than expected.

I've done retreats before and the feeling never lasts. Why would this be different?

It might not last either — and I want to be honest about that.
What this retreat offers is not a permanent state. It offers a reference point. An experience of yourself without the weight of everything you carry — clear enough and real enough that you can return to it when the noise builds again.
You will know, in a way that’s harder to talk yourself out of, what it feels like to be unburdened. That knowing doesn’t disappear the way a feeling does.
The post-retreat integration call, held a week after you return, is specifically designed to help you build a bridge between what you experienced here and the life you’re going back to.

What happens if I want to leave early?

You are always free to leave.
There is no obligation to stay, no contract that holds you here.
If something arises — at home, or within yourself — that means you need to go, we will sort it out practically and without fuss.
The taxi details are in your information pack, and I am always available to help arrange whatever is needed.
I would only ask that if you’re considering leaving because it feels hard or uncomfortable, you give it another few hours first. That edge is usually where the retreat begins to work.

If you’ve been thinking I don’t know what I want anymore, this is a place to start finding out.

Let’s have a chat where I’ll answer your questions and we’ll work out together whether this is the retreat for you.
